My Handmade Journey

I’m a self-taught sewer whose passion bloomed years ago at the kitchen table, creating dressing-up clothes for my children. What started as a simple joy soon grew into hemming skirts, shortening trousers, and carefully tweaking prom and bridesmaid dresses for friends and family. Along the way, I’ve gathered a wonderful stash of fabrics—each with its own story to tell. Now, I’m thrilled to give them new life as handcrafted flower lapel pins, brooches, hair accessories, purses, and gifts that bring a little colour and charm to everyday life.

Beyond the Sewing Machine

Little Purple Bloom is more than just a shop—it’s a space to pause, create, and grow. Here you’ll find inspiration for mindful creativity, from colouring pages to tips on nurturing your houseplants (my other great love!). I believe that making things by hand and tending to green spaces both feed the soul in similar ways—they slow us down, bring us joy, and help us bloom.
